Here you are, Father Deng!

This afternoon, Fr. Deng de la Cruz, OP from the Province of the Philippines stopped by for what was probably the shortest visit of a friar and Filipino! Father is studying in Canada and was in NJ visiting with some friends and made sure to stop by the monastery to see his Dominican sisters but especially Sr. Maria Concepcion who knew Father when she was at our monastery in Cainta, PI.

Fr. Deng was at the Dominican Family Assembly in Manila, PI in 2000 which our Sr. Mary Catharine was also present at, so it was reunion of sorts!

God willing, Fr. Deng will return another time for a longer visit and to enjoy Sr. Maria Concepcion's pancit! Fr. Deng expressed how much he enjoyed our blog so, Father, here's lookin' at you!
