VOCATION IN BLACK AND WHITE: DOMINICAN CONTEMPLATIVE NUNS TELL HOW GOD CALLED THEM
For the past 2 years Sr. Mary Rose (Monastery of the Infant Jesus, Lufkin), Sr. Maria of the Cross and Sr. Mary Catharine (Summit) have been working together to produce a book of vocation stories from the nuns of our Dominican Monasteries here in United States.
Thanks to Sr. Mary Rose's dogged persistence, this wonderful book has seen the light of day and is now available for purchase from our Cloister Gift Shoppe.
Edited by the Association of the Monasteries of the Nuns of the Order of Preachers of the United States of America
In this engaging collection, twenty-three contemplative Dominican nuns tell of God's call to the cloister. Includes contributions by Summit nuns Sr. Maria Agnes, Sr. Maria of the Cross, and Sr. Mary Catharine.
Softcover (6 x 9), 134 pages, iUniverse, Inc., 2008
Soon we also hope to start offering you our own homemade Seignadou Soaps Hand Creme and Lip Balm. The sisters have been experimenting during the winter months with different formula's to produce products that are made with simple products like cocoa and mango butter, beeswax and sweet almond oil and beneficial to the skin. Both the hand creme and lip balm have been the finicky "test market" of the Sisters in our monastery so we know that you'll be pleased, too!
