Fun in the Snow
This morning, we woke up to a heavy snowfall which continued throughout the morning, leaving us with perhaps 6 inches of snow on the ground at recreation. The sisters got some sledding in, and the snow was perfect for snow angel and snowman making! The novitiate has expanded now to include a new snow-novice. However, some sisters have doubts about her ability to persevere in the monastic life. Will she melt away?
Tomorrow, Ash Wednesday, marks the beginning of Lent. We make a 3-day retreat at the beginning of Lent, praying for the graces for a holy and fruitful season of repentance and conversion of heart. Meanwhile, Sister Lucia Marie will begin her 8-day retreat in preparation for solemn profession tomorrow as well. She will make her solemn profession on March 2. Please keep her in your prayers!
