The Novitiate

It took awhile to get both photographer and novitiate sisters along with a sunny day all together at once but Sunday's beautiful fall day provide the perfect opportunity to inflict "torture" on the novitiate sisters as they attempted to SMILE at the camera with eyes OPEN and not SQUINTING!

Overheard in the kitchen as Sr. Maria was showing one of her old, beloved cook books to the novitiate: "Wow! A cook book without pictures! I've never seen that before!" (We assure you, we are not making this up!)
