Celebrating Pro Orantibus Day!

From November 18-21 our community was in retreat in preparation for the celebration of the feast of the Presentation of Our Lady. On this day, 53 years ago, our community professed Solemn Profession for the first time and thereby became fully incorporated into the Order of Preachers. Today is also the solemn profession anniversary of Sr. Mary Elizabeth and the 15th anniversary of profession of Sr. Mary Catharine.

During these days, Fr. Roger Landry led us through themes of St. Paul: Imitating Christ as Paul Imitated Christ. Together we reflected on the work of the Holy Spirit in the life of St. Paul, his passionate love for Christ Crucified and the preaching of the gospel and St. Paul's joyful heart that was filled with gratitude to God no matter what he suffered. Fr. Roger loves lists and his list of all that St. Paul suffered was incredible to hear all at once! It certainly put our own little problems into proper perspective!

Each day at Mass we were treated to beautiful homiles, also. Each of us is grateful to God for this special time of extra solitude and silence.

Now, the "soap sisters" are hard at work making up for the time of retreat and with orders that keep coming in. We are so grateful for your support!
